Sound Art Assignment

In the beginning, my team and I were confused as to how the film would be understood. However, with clear instructions, we managed to successfully portray the meaning of the assignment. We agreed on the scene being focused on going to the bathroom as we got inspiration from one of our team members who returned from using the restroom. For the first step, we recorded footsteps from our classroom to the bathroom, having Shai place her phone close to her feet as she walks. Leann proceeded to open the bathroom stall and close it, locking the door to mimic someone walking in the stall. I came up with the idea to use a water bottle and pour the water in the toilet creating the sound of the character peeing. I then open and closed the stall, demonstrating the character leaving as Sabrina continued by going to the sink and washing her hands. We recorded her feet as she walked towards the soap dispensary and washed her hands. Lastly, Leann recorded her footsteps as she walked out of the bathroom indicating the character being on their way back to class while I recorded her knocking and opening the door in the classroom as if the teacher answered. I had an enjoyable experience with this assignment as it made me realize how many sounds are actually in our everyday lives but we don't realize since we are used to it.
