Introducing myself!

Hi! Welcome to my blog :) My name is Maayan Lanker and I am a senior attending Cooper City High School. I am not too certain on who I am as a person.. I think I can speak for most when I say that. Regardless of still figuring myself out, I am sure that I am a very determined, hardworking, and passionate individual. However, I do have my fun on times off as it is surely needed! I never found much interest in the courses related to film throughout my school years, but as my high school experience comes to an end, I have regretted not being more interested in holding memories through a picture or a video. This course intrigued me as my passion for media grew. Movie genres that I have always been drawn too are romantic comedies, action movies, and tragedies. Romantic comedies have always been a comfort genre to me. Sitting and watching them with my friends as we know someday, we will have that same kind of love that we fantasized about as children. Action movies always are intriguing to watch when I am bored as they keep me on the edge of my seats. Last of all, tragedies are also another comfort genre to me. There are so many messages throughout movies related within this genre that teach people lessons and mainly, to appreciate what you have. For example, the movie "Beautiful Boy" directed by Felix Van Groeningen. Throughout building my portfolio, i hope to be able to better interpret media all around the world as this can not only be educational, but also can help guide one throughout the struggles of life.
